Launched in September 2020, Timely Topics in Medical Education (T-TIME) is an integral part of the Clinician Educator Diploma Program’s core curriculum. Open to all, T-TIME delves into essential topics within the CEd program, providing invaluable insights and knowledge.

This event is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and approved by the Division of Continuing Medical Education, College of Medicine, University of Saskatchewan. You may claim a maximum of 1.5 hours (credits are automatically calculated).
Gibbs’ Reflective Cycle

Objectives:
At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Identify the six stages of Gibbs' Reflective Cycle and explain their sequential relationship
- Apply the Gibbs' Reflective Cycle to process a simulated clinical encounter
- Demonstrate reflective thinking by articulating personal feelings and evaluating their performance during the simulation
- Formulate at least one specific action point for future clinical practice based on their reflection
Validity Arguments in Assessment

- Summarize the purpose of using validity arguments in assessment
- Outline Kane’s framework of validation
- Evaluate an assessment item from your education practice in the context of Kane’s framework
