Biography
Dr. Kleisinger grew up in Regina, Saskatchewan. She received a Bachelor's of Kinesiology and Health Studies with High Honors from the University of Regina in 2008. She volunteered in the recreation and veterans program at the Wascana Rehabilitation Centre throughout her undergraduate degree and found an interest in rehabilitation, persons with disabilities, and recreation therapy. She then graduated from the College of Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan in 2012. Dr. Kleisinger completed a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and graduated as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada in 2017. She achieved an additional designation for electrodiagnostics with the Canadian Society of Clinical Neurophysiologists (CSCN) for the diagnosis and management of neuromuscular disease.
Dr. Kleisinger is the Regina site lead for the University of Saskatchewan Undergraduate Medical Education (UGME) year 2 Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) program Skills Day, and the UGME year 3 and 4 student elective and selective rotations in PM&R.
