Dr. M.R Conlon MD, FRCSC

Dr. M. Ronan Conlon is a clinical professor of ophthalmology at the University of Saskatchewan and medical director of Conlon Eye Institute in Saskatoon. His clinical focus is oculoplastic surgery, including ptosis repair, eyelid lesion removal and eyelid reconstruction, along with cataract surgery, refractive lens exchange and laser vision correction.

He graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 1987 and completed his ophthamology residency at the University of Western Ontario. He then trained in ocular pathology at Harvard Medical School and the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, and in oculoplastic, orbital, and oncologic surgery at the University of Iowa.

Dr. Conlon has taught ophthalmology residents at the University of Saskatchewan since 1994. Several of his former trainees now practise ophthamology across Western Canada. He served as the first conjoint head of the department of opthalmology and as chief of staff of the Saskatoon Health Region, and has written book chapters and journal articles on eyelid, orbital, and ocular pathology.
