About
Dr. Shahab developed a passion for neurology after reading the captivating books of Oliver Sacks. His career has been defined by two goals – providing compassionate, evidence-based care for his patients and providing compelling teaching to medical trainees.
He has received multiple acknowledgements for his teaching. Early in his career (while still a junior resident) he was presented a teaching award by the graduating USask Medical School Class of 2021. He was also awarded the Resident Doctors of Saskatchewan 2025 RDoS Exceptional Teacher Award.
Dr. Shahab completed all of his medical training at the University of Saskatchewan. After residency, he completed a clinical fellowship in Multiple Sclerosis and Neuroinflammatory Disease.
