Procedures and guidelines regarding leaves of absence, types of leaves (e.g. compassionate, medical, parental and other) can be found on the College of Graduate and Post Doctoral studies (CGPS) website.
The Graduate Chair is the Director of the School of Rehabilitation Science. The Director has the authority to approve a first-time leave request for up to 4 months for medical or compassionate reasons. All leave requests must first be discussed with the Director prior to submission of requests to CGPS as per the procedures and guidelines. Authorization by the Director is required before the CGPS can process any request.
