A resident feeling uncomfortable in any situation should inform the Program Director(s) or Program Administrative Assistant so this can be addressed.

RRO provides non-academic support to residents coping with personal and professional challenges. Information and referral to counselling services, accommodation for residents with disabilities, PGME policies and procedures, concerns regarding intimidation and harassment, adverse events, modified learning plans, academic difficulties, and transition from residency to practice. SMA Physician Health Program - Brenda Senger, Director of the SMA's Physician Support Program, Telephone Number 306-244-2196 The SMA Physician Health Program is a confidential referral, intervention and support service that helps physicians (including residents) and their families that are struggling with physical, mental, personal or financial stress.

Safewalk – Safewalk volunteers walk people safely to their destination on or near campus—Sunday to Thursday, 8:30 pm to 11:30 pm 306-966-7233 Outside of those hours, Protective Services 306-966-5555 can provide walking escorts. This service is free and available to students, staff, faculty, and campus visitors. http://students.usask.ca/health/safety.php

St. Paul’s Hospital Home Call – We provide Lot D Parking Passes and Transponders to senior residents who do home call at St. Paul’s Hospital. Please request your pass from Karen Bader.

Perceived intimidation and the hostile patient – Refer to the guidelines regarding treatment of perceived intimidation/hostile patients while on service in General Surgery. Document found on your Paws Group Site under “policies”.
