CPR and First Aid Instructions for Students Entering Year 1

  1.  Incoming MED students are required to complete CPR for Health Care Providers (HCP) as well as Standard First Aid before their two pre-clerkship years. Please provide copies of your certification to the UGME (B526) office by September 18, 2017. Your certification must remain valid until June 1, 2019
  2. We understand that you may have already completed these requirements or plan to complete them independently. We recommend that you confirm that your certification meets the requirements of the College of Medicine prior to Orientation on August 09, 2017.
  3. To help facilitate the process the College of Medicine has reserved several dates for the course with SHARALIFE FIRST AID INC.  SHARALIFE is able to handle 40 students at a time at their facility. The cost for completing this course with SHARALIFE is $105/student. We have reserved three weekends for MED Students on a first come, first serve basis:
  • August 12 & 13
  • August 19 & 20
  • August 26 & 27

This is a two day course that runs from 8:30-5:00 each day. To register through SHARALIFE please contact Breanne at (306) 244-4517 and specify that you are an incoming MED Student.
