About

Originally from Saskatoon, Dr. Rooks completed her Bachelor of Science (Biochemistry), her Medical Degree and her Orthopaedic Surgery residency at the University of Saskatchewan. During her residency, she traveled for electives at the BC Children’s Hospital in Vancouver, the Shriner’s Hospital in Montreal and the Great Ormond Street Hospital for children in London, England. She then completed an 18-month fellowship in Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery at the Starship Children’s Hospital in Auckland, New Zealand. Following her fellowship, she stayed on as a staff Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Starship Children’s Hospital before finally returning to Saskatoon in May 2018.
