Darrell D. Mousseau is a Professor with the Department of Psychiatry. He received his Ph.D. (in Neurochemistry) from the University of Alberta, and did postdoctoral training at the University of Minnesota and at the Université de Montréal. He joined the University of Saskatchewan in 2002 where he established the Cell Signalling Laboratory. His major research objective at this juncture is to determine what biochemical events are common to depression and Alzheimer disease. He is also currently examining the link between depression and poor prognosis in breast cancer patients. He is the Saskatchewan Research Chair in Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia funded jointly by the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan and the Saskatchewan Health Research Foundation.
