Dr. Dueck graduated from the University of Manitoba in 1991 with a B.Sc. in Biochemistry, and a B.Sc. in Medicine and Doctor of Medicine in 1997. She completed her Internal Medicine residency also at the University of Manitoba, followed by a Medical Oncology fellowship at the University of Ottawa. She became a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 2003 (Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology). She practiced in Ontario from 2003 until 2016 when she relocated to the SCA. She holds the rank of Assistant Professor with the University of Saskatchewan, and previously with Lakehead University/Northern Ontario School of Medicine. She has been a physician assessor with the College of Physician and Surgeons of Ontario since 2008, conducting physician assessments and investigations for licensing. She is also a member of the discipline committee with the College of Physicians of Surgeons of Saskatchewan and is a physician examiner with the Medical Council of Canada. She was a participant with the Clinical Quality Improvement Program through the Health Quality Council in 2019 and is currently working on a Master of Education (Health Professions Education) through the U of S. She has completed a Graduate Certificate in Quality Teaching in Health Professions and teaches first and second year medical students. She is looking forward to working with all faculty members of the SCA to bring the Medical Oncology residency training program to Saskatchewan.
