Born in Ottawa and raised in Ottawa, Montreal, Regina, and Saint John, Dorian Kristmanson completed her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in human nutrition at McGill University. Her post-graduate research focused on the interaction between intestinal parasitemia and malnutrition in Panamanian pre-school children. While attending medical school at the University of Saskatchewan, she developed a passion for women’s health. She completed residency training at the University of Ottawa, where she pursued interests in medical education and advocacy, and held a leadership position on the Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Canada (SOGC) Resident Committee. Her areas of interest include minimally invasive surgery, medical education, colposcopy, and family planning.
