College of Medicine

About

Janet grew up on a farm near North Battleford, Saskatchewan and blames her distaste for sushi on her country upbringing. She learned to speak a few words of Hungarian after spending a wonderful year abroad as an exchange student. Following her European adventure, life landed her in Saskatoon where she has remained ever since. She finished medical school at the U of S in 2011 and then joined the newest and best EM program in Canada (Saskatoon). She has been working as a staff Emergency Physician in Saskatoon since completing residency in 2016. Her career is a balance of adult EM, pediatric EM, transport medicine and administration as she is the Associate Area Lead for Emergency Medicine in Saskatoon. Interests outside of medicine include basketball, triathlon (but only the short distances) and good brunch food. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends and planning the next travel adventure.
