About

Dr. Tyan obtained his undergraduate degree in Microbiology and Immunology at UBC. He graduated from medical school at the University of Queensland, Australia. He then completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Respirology Fellowship at the University of Western Ontario. Dr. Tyan pursued a fellowship in Interventional Pulmonary Medicine at the University of Toronto. Dr. Tyan joined the division of Respirology, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at USASK in 2016. Since joining the division, Dr. Tyan has been involved in research, teaching, and clinical care.

Dr. Tyan’s clinical priority is to care for patients with lung cancer, lung nodules, mediastinal disease, pleural disease, and central airway disease. He is driven by bringing advanced minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to treat his patients. His research area of interest includes advancing bronchoscopic technology, lung cancer screening, and clinical quality improvement.
