General Research
Hosted by the Waniska Indigenous Centre
Virtual Launch of the CanHepC Prairie Hepatitis C Roadmap
The Waniska Indigenous Centre, based out of Pewaseskwan (the Indigenous Wellness Research Group) at the University of Saskatchewan is hosting the launch. Waniska spearheaded this valuable resource, titled Journeys to Wellness: Prairie Hepatitis C Roadmap. It offers evidence-based strategies to eliminate hepatitis C as a public health threat in the Prairie provinces and was guided by CanHepC’s Blueprint to inform hepatitis C elimination efforts in Canada by 2030.
The Roadmap was developed with the support of participating organizations, passionate community members, experts and dedicated team members, such as project lead Saydi Harlton, under the guidance of Dr. Alexandra King (MD), project co-chair (SK) and Carrielynn Lund, project co-chair (AB).
