Getting to Know: Minyoung Kim

Minyoung Kim is the biostatistician for the Department of Medicine. Her role supports faculty members and residents engaged in research.

As biostatistician, Kim can provide consultation on statistical analysis plans or calculating sample size. After data is collected, Kim analyzes research data and reports results. 

Kim is from Seoul, South Korea, and has also lived in the Czech Republic and United States. After earning a bachelor’s degree in applied statistics from Yonsei University in South Korea, she worked as an operations manager for a shipping company.

Kim moved to Canada and completed a master’s degree in biostatistics at the University of Saskatchewan (USask). She also worked at the USask Clinical Research Support Unit.

When not at work, Kim loves to travel. While in Saskatoon she enjoys exploring new restaurants and coffee shops.
