About Us
The Division of Infectious Diseases in Saskatoon consists of clinicians who specialize in adult infectious diseases and operate primarily out of Royal University Hospital, as well as one PhD researcher. Members are actively involved in the Saskatchewan Infectious Disease Care Network which provides HIV and HepC support to marginalized neighbourhoods in Saskatoon and northern communities in Saskatchewan. Members are also part of the Infection Prevention and Control team, dedicated to preventing infections in care facilities.
Research interests include diagnosis and treatment of infections in immunocompromised individuals, as well as antimicrobial stewardship, quality improvements and patient safety.
Infectious Diseases clinicians in Regina conduct teaching, education and research. Division members provide on call clinical services as well as outpatient clinics. Research interests include HIV, HepC, including community-based research involving Indigenous peoples. Along with teaching, education and research, division members provide on call clinical services as well as outpatient clinics.
