About Us
The Division of Infectious Diseases in Saskatoon consists of seven clinicians who specialize in adult infectious diseases and operate primarily out of Royal University Hospital. Members are actively involved in the Saskatchewan Infectious Disease Care Network which provides HIV and HepC support to marginalized neighbourhoods in Saskatoon and northern communities in Saskatchewan. Members are also part of the Infection Prevention and Control team, dedicated to preventing infections in care facilities.
Research interests include diagnosis and treatment of infections in immunocompromised individuals, as well as antimicrobial stewardship, quality improvements and patient safety.
Regina has four Infectious Diseases clinicians. Research interests include HIV, HepC, including community-based research involving Indigenous cultures. Along with teaching, education and research, division members provide on call clinical services as well as outpatient clinics.
