“Ben was born in Winnipeg and grew up in the surrounding areas. While growing up Ben developed a

love for nature that led him to do his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in biological sciences at the University of Manitoba.

After which he spent some time in industry before beginning his medical training at the University of

Manitoba. During this time Ben developed an interest in Indigenous health and Emergency medicine. He

is excited to be joining the University of Saskatchewan to continue working on these passions. Outside

of the hospital Ben enjoys spending time with his two children, running, and playing video games.”
