Within the Saskatoon Health Region, members of the Division of Urology cover each of the three affiliated teaching hospitals, with adult inpatient units predominantly at St. Paul’s Hospital, the latter the site of the ESWL lithotripter.
The pediatric urology program is based at the Royal University Hospital. The spectrum of clinical practice and interest among Division members includes minimally invasive urologic surgery, urologic oncology, functional disorders, and urodynamic testing.
Over 2006-2007, the Division performed a total of 2,112 procedures. The Division participates in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching within the Department of Surgery in addition to training residents from other Departments (Obstetrics and Gynecology) and centres across Canada.
