The Physician Health Program (PHP) provides assistance to physicians, medical learners, and their families who may be struggling with issues such as:
- Mental health
- Relationship issues (professional and personal)
- Substance abuse/addiction
- Physical health
- Work and family concerns
The services support SMA members who need assistance in responding to complaints, disciplinary proceedings, and audits by external organizations, and who need support to resolve issues (e.g., conflict) in the workplace.
Physician wellness is a priority. The CMA Physician Wellness hub provides reliable wellness tools and resources to empower physicians, medical learners, leaders and educators to create change in the culture of medicine

UGME: Interprofessional Learning Experiences/Interprofessional Education (IPE) Vertical Theme Lead
The Undergraduate Medical Education (UGME) program is seeking a faculty member to provide educational leadership as the Interprofessional Learning Experiences/Interprofessional Education (IPE) Vertical Theme Lead. The IPE Vertical Theme Lead is responsible for the design, implementation and monitoring of curricular initiatives to incorporate interprofessional learning experiences/interprofessional education within the undergraduate curriculum. Detailed responsibilities are outlined in the attached role description. More information about the MD program curriculum and course syllabi is available here.
The desired applicant for this role is a faculty member who is excited to support interprofessional education and further develop longitudinal integration of interprofessional learning experiences through the pre-clerkship and clerkship curriculum, and who works effectively and collaboratively with learners, administrative staff, faculty, and other educational program leadership. Experience and/or additional training in interprofessional education including clinical interprofessional team-based care is a desired qualification for this role. Successful individuals will be supported and mentored within the role.
