About the Saskatoon Site
The Saskatoon Family Medicine Residency training program is centered out of the West Winds Primary Health Centre.
Residents go elsewhere other clinical experiences, but in order to maintain continuity with patients, residents will return to West Winds one half-day each week to run a clinic.
Saskatoon has a large population with diverse needs. The interdisciplinary nature of the clinic meets the needs of all people who attend West Winds. Residents are part of the health care team with hands on experience in all aspects of patient care. There is a collegial atmosphere with all family medicine faculty.
When residents complete their training, they are equipped with the knowledge and skills to practice anywhere. This is a small program that is flexible and allows you to customize your training to suit your educational needs.
