Objectives:

  • To hear about Queen’s School of Medicine’s work to understand the hidden curriculum as it is plays out in interactions between those in different areas of medicine.
  • To consider causes and strategies to address the hidden curriculum
  • To have an opportunity to discuss how this might be impacting those at the University of Saskatchewan.

Having grown up on the west coast, Dr. Schultz obtained a BSc at Dalhousie University and subsequently her medical degree and family medicine training at Queen’s. The majority of her working career has been in the Department of Family Medicine at Queen’s. She’s had the pleasure of being the FM Program Director for eight years, and since 2020 has been the Associate Dean, Postgraduate Medical Education at Queen’s. She’s co-chaired a working group exploring the Hidden Curriculum at Queen’s from 2018-2020 and since 2020 has chaired the implementation team whose work it is to address the Hidden Curriculum
