About

Dr. Garcia completed her 4-year Pediatric training through the Multicentric Residency Program at Tecnologico de Monterrey, Mexico. She subsequently pursued a two-year fellowship in Pediatric Respirology at the National Institute of Pediatrics, where she developed a strong interest in aerodigestive disorders and interventional bronchoscopy.

She further advanced her training at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, completing a 2-year clinical fellowship in Pediatric Respirology. Building on her growing interest in interstitial and end-stage lung disease, she went on to complete a 1-year fellowship in Pediatric Lung Transplantation.

Teaching

My approach to teaching is rooted in creating supportive, hands-on learning environments that encourage curiosity and critical thinking. As a pediatric respirologist, I strive to adapt my teaching to the learner’s level while promoting reflective practice and professional development. I believe in learning by doing, reinforced by timely feedback, open dialogue, and shared decision-making. My goal is to inspire confidence, competence, and a sense of purpose in those I teach.
