Dr. Ruano is a a practicing surgical pathologist at the Battlefords Union Hospital. With over 10 years of clinical experience, including formerly family medicine and currently pathology, her practice focuses on community and clinical service. She is committed to help mentoring other physicians and lab scientists, as well as promoting and improving rural practice.

Education
Dr. Ruano obtained her MD at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia in Bogotá, Colombia, where she practiced as a family/ general physician with a focus in rural/ remote practice and social medicine. She became a Fellow of the RCPSC after completing her residency in Anatomical Pathology at the University of Alberta and currently is a community surgical pathologist in North Battleford.
