Dr. Waleed Sabry is a Hematologist/Transplanter at the Saskatoon Cancer Centre. He is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Saskatchewan. He was born in Egypt and graduated from the medical school in Cairo in 1989.

He finished his training as an internal medicine resident and was very passionate for hematology. He earned his Master’s degree in internal medicine from Cairo University then obtained a doctorate degree in hematology from Alexandria University in Egypt.

Dr. Sabry worked as a Hematologist in Cairo University and at the International Medical center in Cairo. He worked in transfusion medicine and was the interim director of the blood bank for two years in Cairo.

He then moved to Canada for a transplant fellowship in 2006 at the University of Montreal for 3 years.  He loved Canada and applied for a post in Saskatoon.

He shared in the establishment of the Transplant Program in Saskatchewan in 2010 and is currently the hematology lead in Saskatoon. His main areas of interest are leukemias, lymphomas, myeloma and stem cell transplant.
