Elizabeth Miazga MD, LLM, FRCSC

Dr. Miazga was born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Prior to entering medicine, she completed a Bachelor of Science from McGill University. She completed Medical School and Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Toronto. She has a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery and Pelvic Floor Medicine from St. Michael’s Hospital, University of Toronto. She also completed a Master of Laws in Health Law from Osgoode Hall Law School, York University. She practiced medicine in Ontario before returning to her hometown of Saskatoon to continue the work she loves!

She has a research interest in surgical education, particularly in teaching anatomy and mindfulness to surgical trainees. She is a co-creator of the MyEndo app which provides app-based resources on mindfulness, physiotherapy, and other treatments for endometriosis that are typically not covered by provincial health insurance plans. She is also involved in quality improvement projects, including creating a TOLAC bundle to educate patients and providers about trial of labour after caesarean section.
