Meredith completed her MD at the University of Saskatchewan in 1994, residency in Family Medicine at Queen’s University in 1996, and MSc in Health Care Research at the University of Calgary in 2000. Working at the U of S since 2002, her educational roles have included departmental undergraduate director for several years; Course Director for various undergraduate MD courses, Phase Chair and subsequently Assistant Dean Academic in the MD program. As well as actively teaching in the undergraduate program, Meredith teaches and supervising residents in the Saskatoon Family Medicine Unit and previous coordinated the behavioural sciences curriculum for residents in Saskatoon. She has received several teaching awards including the Provost’s teaching award and the CAME Certificate of Merit. Meredith provides clinical service through a continuity of care family practice. Her research interests include evaluation of undergraduate medical education initiatives and evaluations of clinical initiatives in primary health care. She is also interested in ecosystem approaches to health, along with an interest in the impacts of climate change on health. Her interests outside of medicine include spending time with her daughter, husband and energetic border collie (especially at the lake), running, hiking, cross-country skiing, reading and traveling.
