About

Major (Dr.) Samad received his Medical degree from Tribhuvan University (Nepal) followed by one year of rotating internship. His path to practicing medicine in Canada took him on a long route. Prior to his training in Canada he worked as a general practitioner in the Middle East, followed by work as a clinical associate in medical oncology in Halifax. While he completed his Medical Council of Canada exams, he pursued a postgraduate Diploma in Health Services Administration from Dalhousie University.

He completed his core Internal Medicine residency from University of Saskatchewan, followed by a two year General Internal Medicine fellowship from University of Saskatchewan. Thereafter he pursued a two year fellowship in Hepatology from University of Manitoba. He has since then returned to Saskatoon where he provides inpatient services as a General Internist & Hepatologist and runs an outpatient hepatology practice.

Major Samad is privileged and honored to be a regular member of the Canadian Armed Forces as a General Internist, based out of 1 Canadian Field Hospital, Petawawa Ontario and looks forward to a career consisting of civilian and military duties.
