About

Lab Instructor and Course Coordinator in the department of Anatomy, Physiology, and Pharmacology (APP), including a hands-on physiology and pharmacology lab (CPPS 308) and the honours undergraduate research program (NEUR/CPPS 432).

My background incudes international experiences such as teaching English in China, service in the U.S. military, and a PhD from USask (Dr. John Howland's behavioral neuroscience lab, 2025). My PhD research explored how associative memories are formed and retrieved, focusing on the fascinating role of the retrosplenial cortex! Additional interests include the endocannabinoid system, epilepsy, cognition, and functional neural mapping, with specific experience in stereotaxic surgery, in vivo electrophysiology, and touchscreen-equipped approaches to assess cognition.

I am passionate about neuroscience education and science communication, striving to make complex concepts more accessible to students and researchers by integrating modern technologies like 3D printing and Generative AI.
