About

Dr. Malone Chaya received his medical training from the Godfrey Huggins School of Medicine at the University of Zimbabwe, and his Anesthesiology training from the University of Natal in Durban, South Africa. Before joining the Department of Anesthesiology in Saskatoon in 2002, Dr. Chaya held a position as Junior Consultant in Pediatric Anesthesiology at The King Edward Hospital in Durban South Africa. He practiced as a Consultant anesthesiologist at the same institution before spending 5 years in private practice. Dr. Chaya obtained a Master’s in Healthcare Administration from The University of Regina and is a certified Canadian Patient Safety Officer.

Clinical Interests

Dr. Chaya’s clinical interests include Regional, Obstetrical and Pediatric Anesthesiology. His research is focuses on Quality Improvement and Patient Safety.
