One theory about the name Weyburn is that it came from a Scottish man in the area who was walking through on a hot summer's afternoon. He said, "Wee burn!" and from there the community became Wee Burn which eventually turned to Weyburn. Find out more by visiting www.weyburn.ca

Weyburn General Hospital has 25 Acute Care Beds. Tatagwa View LTC has 118 beds. Weyburn Special Care Home has 90 beds and Mental Health Acute Care has 10 beds. A new hospital is scheduled to be completed in Fall 2025.

CLINIC
14 Family Physicians. Clinic hours are generally 9am - 5pm. 12 hr shifts (8-8) with ≈ 4-6 shifts a month.

COMMUNITY HEALTHCARE RESOURCES
Nurse Practitioner, Dietician, Chronic Disease Management. Physicians in the community with special interests in cardiology, women's health, sports medicine, palliative care, anesthesia and emergency medicine.

Weyburn physicians travel to Midale and Fillmore for out-of-town clinics and long-term care rounds.
