Priority Health Needs Communique
The Division of Social Accountability works to support the college in aligning its medical education content on pressing issues faced by the community we serve. The Priority Health Needs Rooted in Social Issues document is an annual communication put out by the division that overviews some of the issues of particular concern for Saskatchewan and their implications for medical curriculum programming.

Social Accountability Lens
The division has created a tool to support the review of social accountability within the college’s undergraduate medical curriculum, called the Social Accountability Lens. The lens provides a detailed definition of social accountability, including many health equity topics that are encompassed under this umbrella term. It presents a series of “standards” for social accountability in curriculum (based on the CACMS accreditation curriculum standards), and examples for meeting the standard in course content. The creation of the lens has been a collaborative and iterative process with the CoM Curriculum Quality Review Subcommittee, and is tailored to meet their needs.
