PSFaM meeting news
The 3rd Protein Structure, Function and Malfunction meeting was the largest yet, with nearly 150 registered participants.
The five invited keynote speakers covered subjects from structure and function of membrane proteins, NMR applications in protein research, role of chaperones in protein folding events in endoplasmic reticulum to global genetic interaction network in eukaryotic cell. In addition invited speakers from participating universities talked about their current research. Nine oral presentation were given by graduate students and postdocs. The poster session included nearly 50 presenters and provided a chance for the trainees to chat with the faculty and other students about their research. Seven trainees received awards for oral and poster presentations.
