The Certificates and Master of Education in Health Professions Education are intended for health professionals in medicine, nursing, dentistry, public health, rehabilitation science, veterinary medicine, kinesiology, or pharmacy and nutrition. These programs help improve your education knowledge and teaching skills, and better prepare you for educational leadership roles.

PROGRAM DETAILS

Students have the option of completing one or both of the two four-course certificates as stand-alone graduate programs, or students may ladder the certificates into the Master of Education in Health Professions degree program - receiving credit for all three.  All courses are offered online.

Graduate Certificate in Quality Teaching in Health Professions Education:

• Build competency in instructional teaching methods including the effective use of technology, experiential learning, simulations, small and large group teaching, clinical teaching, teaching in rounds, at the bed-side, and other work-based environments.

Master's Degree in Health Professions Education:

ADMISSIONS

• Four-year degree, or equivalent, from a recognized college or university.
• Cumulative weighted average of at least 70% in the last two years of study (e.g. 60 credit units).
• Teaching responsibilities and/or the ability to demonstrate teaching experience.
• Language proficiency.
