Sarah grew up on a farm in the southern AB prairies. After receiving her BSc in bio sci/art history, she briefly lived in BC and QB before attending medical school at the University of Alberta. She figured it was time to cross off another province to live in, and the wonderfully friendly people and lack of traffic made Saskatoon a perfect pick. Sarah is known for having a lot of hobbies, some of the more recent ones include: cyanotyping, backpack hiking (most recently Sunshine Coast Trail), shooting 35mm film, tending to her herb garden, collecting records, and enjoying a flow yoga class. Sarah’s specific interests in emergency medicine include design within the emergency department; specifically, how design can impact flow, quality improvement, and well-being of both patients and workers.
