Born and raised in Winnipeg (and quite proud of it), the resident R wave has approximate knowledge of many things. Starting university with a goal of following the family tradition of being a Civil Engineer, Riley found his way into biochemistry, and then a Masters of Medical Microbiology. He made the move to Calgary to ski, hike, and pursue medicine on the side as a member of the class of 2016 (Go Narwhals!). Riley has an interest in playing keeper in soccer, and other outdoor activities like backcountry cycling and camping. He has a passion for Emergency Medicine for the diversity of patient presentations, the undifferentiated patient, and the excitement of juggling a large number of patients at once. He has special interests in Quality Improvement, Computerized Physician Order Entry, and Toxicology.
