This virtual poster session showcases the outstanding work undertaken by our Residents and to recognize their significant contributions to the research endeavors at the College of Medicine.

Submission Category:

  1. Clinical (The abstract should clearly outline the research objectives, methods, results and conclusions)
  2. What Works/Initiatives (Showcase innovative programs and initiatives that focuses on physician health and wellness, quality improvement, curriculum or any aspect of residency training including health services/patient-oriented research)

Note: Residents are encouraged to submit Work-in-Progress.

Poster Prizes:

Up to three cash prizes awarded to the best poster presentation in each submission category selected by our faculty panel of judges. All submissions will also be available online for College of Medicine faculty and residents for voting from June 21–25 to select one “Viewer’s Choice” winner from each category.  More information about the voting process will be sent out to the PGME community via email. Award winners will be recognized at the annual PGME Celebration Night Awards Ceremony held on October 15.

Poster Prizes:   

First prize: $700.00
Second prize: $500.00
Third prize: $300.00

Viewer’s Choice: Award Certificates presented at the PGME Celebration Night.

Posters:
Posters should follow the traditional USASK design (4’ by 3’) and must be submitted in JPEG format. Participants may also make use of their previous posters or could use of one of our poster templates. Further instructions on poster submissions will be sent out via email on May 26, 2021.

  • Monday, May 24, 2021 – Abstracts due  
  • Wednesday, May 26, 2021 – Confirmation email regarding abstract’s acceptance status will be sent.
  • June 21 - 25, 2021 – Voting open for “Viewer’s Choice” awards. Open to all students, faculty and staff of the College of Medicine
  • Monday, June 21, 2021 – REACH 2021 - Resident Research Day!
